KINDER ROUND-UPOn Wednesday, April 4th we will begin registering NEW Kindergarten students from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

All children who will be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2018 are eligible to pre-register for Kindergarten.  Parents should bring the following documents.

  • Original or Certified copy of Birth Certificate
  • Up-to-date Immunization Record
  • Proof of Residence – (current utility bill)
  • Student’s social security card, if available
  • Parent I.D. ( Driver’s license or ID card)

Parents are encouraged to bring their children with them on April 4th to meet the teachers and see the school.  Please call the school at 397-0600 if you have any questions.

PRIORITY REGISTRATIONPriority registration cards for the 2018 - 2019 school year will be sent home on April 2nd with your child.  We ask that you complete and return the attached Age, Grade, Residence (AGR) card as soon as possible. Priority registration ends Thursday, April 19th.   Proof of Residency required if preprinted address is incorrect.

It is very important that all registration materials be returned promptly to school. Once a grade level is capped, students will go to Braun Station Elementary.  By returning pre-registration materials by April 19th you will secure a spot for your child at NWC next year.

Regular registration for all those living in the NWC attendance area, but not attending NWC begins on May 2nd.  Anticipated move registration will begin on June 1st, 2018.

SPRING DRESS –  As Spring begins we remind parents that girls’ shorts, skirts, culottes and dresses  in grades 3-5 may only be four inches above the knee – no short shorts.  No tank tops, muscle shirts, spaghetti straps, halter tops, exposed backs or midriffs, cutoffs, tight fitting pants, or exercise /bicycle shorts are permitted.  For more information on the dress code please see the Parent/Student Handbook on page D8.

We also encourage all children to bring tennis shoes for recess and P.E. for safety reasons.

STUDENT SAFETY – Please drive carefully.  Remember students should be dropped off or picked up in the drive through line at the library entrance only.  Students should not be dropped off in the parking lot.  If you prefer to pick up your child at the front entrance you will need to park your car in the parking lot and enter the building at the front entrance.  The front drive is reserved for Day Care Vans and Buses only.
