To comply with U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, Northside ISD will once again offer free meals to children starting June 11. This year, free meals are available at 21 schools for children who are 18 years or younger.

Seniors at Construction Careers Academy have taken on the biggest challenge of their high school careers – designing and building three tiny homes on custom trailers. Now that the transformation is complete, the public is invited to tour the tiny homes at a Community Showcase before they are sold.

The $848.9 million School Bond 2018 proposal, which would impact every NISD school, goes before voters this Saturday, May 5 and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must vote at their specific precinct which is determined by home address.

Northside schools are finding unique ways to engage students in learning and an annual event allows students and teachers to share the successes from their campuses.

Northside ISD is projecting more than 2,400 students to register in Pre-Kindergarten, a program for four-year-old children offered in 70 elementary schools for next year. Registration for Pre-Kindergarten begins May 1 at neighborhood schools during normal school hours.
