NEF 5K unmasks new hope

Jedi, Wookiees, storm troopers, and phantoms all are invited to the 2019 Northside Education Foundation (NEF) 5K Run/Walk and Family Wellness Fair. The NEF 5K Run/Walk is partnering once again with the City of Helotes and the Helotes Festival Association for a full day of fun for the community on Saturday, May 4. So get your alliance in order and May the Fourth be with you.

What:          NEF 5K Run/Walk & Family Wellness Fair

Deadline:    April 12 (early registration deadline)

At the 5K, NISD staff, students, hundreds of families, and community advocates will come together to support NEF’s mission of generating more resources for the District. After the race, participants are invited to stay and play at the Helotes Cornyval Parade and Festival. Exclusive to 5K participants, the Cornyval Festival gates will open an hour early.   

This year, prices for the event include the following options:

  • $25 – Individual (11 & up)
  • $60 – Group Family & Friends (Must be 4 members)
  • $25 –Sleepwalker (Sleep in, skip race, but still support NEF)
  • $7 – Cornyval Festival Ticket (Children 12 & under free)

In addition, children under 10 can participate in the FREE Kids Fun Run by registering on site.
