Seven Northside high school teams and 11 individuals advanced to the state high school bowling championship. All qualified after competing at regional tournaments.
Advancing to the state tournament in the girl’s division are teams from Brandeis, Brennan, Health Careers, and O’Connor high schools. In the boy’s division, the Marshall, O’Connor, and Taft high schools teams qualified for state.

In girl’s individual competition, state qualifiers are: Christina Riojas, Brennan HS; Jacqueline Rangel and Natalie Savant, Brandeis HS; Sadi Alonzo and Jade Garcia, Health Careers HS; and Alexis Buchert, Taft HS.
In boy’s individual competition, Carson Besse, Marshall HS; Noel Marones, Brandeis HS; Mason Stokes, O’Connor HS, Judah DeLaGarza, Brennan HS; and Nico Saucedo, Taft HS, advanced to the state tournament.
Carson Besse placed 2nd in the state last year. He's off to another strong start with first place at the Regional Singles Tournament.
The state championship competition will be held March 30-31 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
