Instead, in a surprise announcement, she received a standing ovation by her peers when she was named Northside ISD’s 2016 Innovator of the Year.
For the eighth consecutive year, Northside ISD has a Region 20 Teacher of the Year. The 2017 Region 20 Elementary Teacher of the Year is Eva Longoria, a special education teacher at Cody Elementary School.
Northside Independent School District (NISD) announced its policy today for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the attached current income eligibility guidelines. Last night, Trustees discussed and took action on several items: approved salary raises for all employees, approved the renewal of UnitedHealthcare as the District’s medical insurance provider for 2017, and appointed several campus administrators, including new principals for the Jay Science & Engineering Academy and Jordan Middle School.
At the June 21 Board Meeting, Northside ISD Trustees approved a $14.6 million compensation package that will provide salary increases for around 14,000 employees.
