You know it is almost Fiesta time when groups start showing off their medals (or shoes!) and NISD schools have quite a few medals available for purchase this year.

Brandeis High School: The Brandeis High School Class of 2019 is selling Fiesta medals for $10 each with all proceeds going to the Class of 2019. For more information, call 397-8229 or stop by the Brandeis Counseling Department.

Business Careers High School: The Business Careers High School Fiesta medal celebrates a milestone in the magnet school’s history, the 25th anniversary. Medals are available in the Business Careers office for $10 each, cash only. Proceeds go to fund scholarships and student programs.

Beard Elementary School: This year, Beard Elementary School is selling its first-ever Fiesta medal which was designed by a student. Medals are $8 each and can be purchased in the school office between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Clark High School: Clark High School is selling 2017 Fiesta medals for $5 each. The medal design features the Clark Cougar. They’re available for purchase in the front office. Limited supplies of the 2016 medal, $3 each, and 2015 and 2014 medals, $1 each, are also available.

Health Careers High School: Health Careers High School Fiesta medals are on sale for $6 each at the school’s office. Cash and checks are accepted. Proceeds go to scholarships for graduating Spanish National Honor Society members.

Hoffmann Elementary School: Hoffmann Elementary School medals can be purchased for $5 each on Fridays beginning April 1. The design honors military families and April as the Month of the Military Child.

Howsman Elementary School: Howsman Elementary School medals are on sale for $8 each at the school. The design features the school’s eagle mascot.

Jay High School: Jay High School is selling Fiesta medals for $8 each, and they are available in the front office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., cash only. The 2017 medal honors two beloved staff members who passed away, longtime baseball coach Johnny Campos and instructional assistant and volunteer coach Rodney Buentello.

Luna Middle School: The first Luna Middle School Fiesta medal is on sale in the school’s front office. They are in limited supply and cost $10 each.

Marshall High School: Marshall High School is selling Fiesta medals in two colors – maroon and pink. They were designed by students. Each medal is $8. E-mail lisa.schweers@nisd.net if interested in purchasing. The medal features a Ram “calavera” to illustrate that the student body is beautiful inside and out.

Martin Elementary School: The first Martin Elementary School Fiesta medal was designed by fifth grader Trinity Salgado. Medals are available for $5 each and can be purchased in the school library.

Northwest Crossing Elementary School: The Northwest Crossing Elementary School Fiesta medal is available for $5 at the school. Medals feature the school’s cardinal mascot.

O’Connor High School: O’Connor High School will be selling Fiesta medals for $5 each in the front office beginning the first week of April. The design features the O’Connor Panther emerging from Fiesta flowers.

Ott Elementary School: Ott Elementary School is selling Fiesta medals for $6 in the front office. The first-ever medal for the school features the Trailblazer logo, a cowboy hat, and boots. Profits from the medals will go to fund field trips and buses for second grade activities.

Pease Middle School: Pease Middle School Fiesta medals are on sale for $5 each in the school’s front office. The design features the school’s bulldog mascot wearing a sombrero.

Steubing Elementary School: The Steubing Elementary School Fiesta medal honors first responders.

Taft High School: Taft High School is selling Fiesta medals for $5 each in the principal’s office.

Wanke Elementary School: Wanke Elementary School medals are on sale for $8 each in the school’s front office. The design features the school’s wolf mascot and the phrase “Leaders Growing Leaders.”

Ward Elementary School: Ward Elementary School is selling 2017 Fiesta medals for $5 each in the front office. For more information, call 397-6800.

Warren High School/Construction Careers Academy: Warren High School is selling Fiesta medals for $5 each at the school’s front desk. This year’s design features the Warren Warrior and the San Antonio skyline including the Tower of the Americas.

Northside School Museum Association: And finally, the Northside School Museum Association is selling limited-edition medals for the seventh year in a row. The colorful medal was designed by Annika Martinez, a junior at Clark HS. Contact the Partnerships Office at 397-8599 or stop by the Museum located at the Northside Learning Center, 6632 Bandera Road, Building A. Medals are $8 each.
