Synchronized divers compete for national titles at NISD Swim Center

The Northside Swim Center continues to make a big splash in the world of swimming and diving competitions when approximately 330 champion divers from across the country compete next week. On April 6-10, Northside School District’s world-class facility will host the USA Diving Synchronized National Championships.  

The competition begins at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6 with girls 14-18 years old three-meter preliminary round and boys 14-18 years old platform dive. For a complete schedule, click here.

2012 Olympic silver medalist Abby Johnston will be competing in the synchronized three-meter with Kelci Bryant. Kassidy Cook will also be making her comeback after she narrowly missed making the 2012 Olympic team by .42 points.

Marshall High School graduate and former state champion Christopher Law is also set to compete along with other NISD students.

On Friday, April 8, divers will be able to participate in an final Olympic Trials qualification event.

Northside Swim Center is located on Loop 1604 near Bandera Road in the Farris Athletic Complex.

Admission for NISD students and staff is free with ID, although parking is $5.

General admission prices are:

·         $40 adult, all sessions

·         $30 youth (4-12 years old), all sessions

·         $30 senior (65+), all sessions

·         $15 adult, day pass

·         $10 youth & senior, day pass

·         $5 – parking
