Ask a third grader at Esparza ES to spell any word and he or she would proudly look it up in their new dictionary supplied by Peter Piper Pizza. When all deliveries have been made, more than 4,000 NISD students will receive new dictionaries of their very own, to take home and use, as part of the restaurant chain’s Partners in Education program.
Before Winter Break, store representatives delivered dictionaries to 13 NISD elementary schools; Allen, Driggers, Esparza, Fernandez, Glass, Linton, Knowlton, Martin, Meadow Village, Myers, Northwest Crossing, Timberwilde, and Passmore elementary schools. They will deliver to additional Title 1 schools after the holidays.
