Special program helps students learn beside peers

November 11, 2015

Students at Mead Elementary School are learning a very special lesson from t-shirts being worn by their teachers. The shirts promote blind awareness, and help educate seeing students about the needs of those who are visually impaired. The idea was formed due to the fact that there are four visually impaired students attending the school.  NISD has a total of 110 blind students’ districtwide.
