The 2012-13 Stevens HS yearbook, Tradition, has been recognized for excellence and featured in the 2014 Jostens Look Book, celebrating the best-of-the-best in yearbook design and coverage.
The Jostens Look Book is a collection of spreads and photos from outstanding yearbooks, featuring themes, covers, designs, coverage, copy, and action photography.
The 2013-2014 edition of Tradition was created with the leadership of editor-in-chief, senior Anthony Estolano and assistant editor, 2013 graduate Juanita Nieves, under the direction of Christine Keyser-Fanick, publications adviser. The advanced sciences yearbook pages featured in the Look Book were designed by Estolano and produced by senior Bonnie Soto. Chief photographer for the yearbook was 2013 graduate Jenah Ovalles-Forey; production editor was senior Gabriella Borrego, and business/marketing manager was senior Alexandria Sauceda.
“Receiving this national recognition means everything to my students, who work hundreds of hours each year to produce top quality yearbooks that Stevens students will treasure in the years ahead,” Keyser-Fanick said. “We work to capture the memories of the year, while recording the school’s history. Without us, the school’s history and all of those great high school memories would be lost.”
The Stevens yearbook was one of only 426 yearbooks selected from approximately 3,000 submissions. The 2014 panel of judges, comprised of nationally recognized scholastic journalism professionals and award-winning yearbook advisers, selected the best examples of yearbook spreads and covers to make up the 352-page 2014 Look Book.
