Northside ISD’s version of the Academy Awards comes complete with a red carpet and paparazzi shouting ‘what are you wearing’ as stars arrive in their finest evening wear and pose for pictures. The stars are the District’s Fine Arts educators and they were honored at the second annual Standing Ovations awards ceremony.

Seniors at Construction Careers Academy have taken on the biggest challenge of their high school careers – designing and building three tiny homes on custom trailers. Now that the construction is complete, the public is invited to tour the tiny homes before they are sold.

And we’re off! This year marks the 23rd year of the Texas Solar Race Car Event in Northside ISD. The races are a culminating event for students who have been working for weeks designing and building miniature solar-powered cars. Race day is Saturday, May 11 at Gustafson Stadium, 7001 Culebra. The event is free and open to the public.
