Northside ISD will open for the first day of school as planned on Monday, August. 28. District leaders, in collaboration with other school districts and city officials, made the decision that it is safe to hold school.
Due to the potential for severe weather this weekend, Northside ISD is cancelling all student events for Saturday, Aug. 26. This cancellation includes a scheduled SAT administration at Brandeis High School on Saturday. The exam has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 16.
Northside Independent School District (NISD) announced its policy today for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) income eligibility guidelines. Each school/site or the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by anyone on request.

For the last 21 years, the San Antonio Deaf Dance Company has provided deaf and hard of hearing students from the San Antonio area with an outlet to express themselves through dance. To comply with U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, Northside ISD will once again offer free meals to children starting June 5. This year, free meals are available at 18 schools for children who are 18 years or younger.
