Seven Northside ISD high school seniors have been named 2020 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. They are among 16,000 semifinalists nationwide in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. They represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.

The Northside ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted Aug. 27 to lower the district’s overall tax rate by seven cents after receiving the certified taxable property values. This is the ninth year in a row that the Board has adopted a “no increase” tax rate.
