Principal Margaret Bray

Dear Parents and Guardians:

It is with a great sense of pride and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction as the newly appointed principal of the John Marshall Law and Medical Services Magnet School.  I am honored and humbled by the trust that Northside ISD and the Board of Trustees has placed in me to be the founding principal of this new and innovative campus.  I am very excited to work closely with Mrs. Cleveland, principal of John Marshall High School, the John Marshall High School faculty and staff, and district leadership to bring this program to the students and families of Northside ISD.

The last five years I have been employed at Business Careers High School where I served as both the Campus Programs Coordinator and Vice Principal.  Prior to working at Business Careers High School I taught for several years in Harlandale ISD.  I also spent several years of my career teaching Political Science and Introductory Government at the collegiate level.   Before entering the teaching profession, I was employed in the legal field as a paralegal and legal assistant.  I believe that working with a diverse population of individuals ranging from high school age students to working adults has well prepared me for the diverse challenges that can arise in a position in educational leadership.

On a personal note I am a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.  I also hold a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  My husband and I have been married for twenty-four years, and we have three amazing sons.  As an educator I strive to treat my students the way that I would want my own children treated in their educational environment.

My goal is to serve the families and children of Northside ISD and to provide them with an education that will prepare them for college and career readiness in the 21st century. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding our campus or programs offered.  I look forward to working with you.

Best Regards,

Margaret Bray
