February News

February is here and promises to be a busy month!  Our students are engaged in small group Guided Math and Guided Reading instruction based on their level of performance in efforts to meet their needs.  5th grade parents, from now until the end of the year you will be receiving information from your child's middle school he/she will attend next year.  We are currently setting dates and times to meet with the schools to discuss your child's transition.  Throughout the next several months you will be hearing and receiving information about course cards, electives, elective night, and MS Camps.  Your child will have several guidance lessons to help him/her with the transition.  We will even work on opening up locks.  The counselors form Stinson and Garcia will be visiting our campus to talk to your child and answer questions he/she many have.  If your child will be attending a different Middle School, they will also be provided withinformaation from that particular school.  You will be notified of any informational nights the Middle School may have scheduled. If you have any question or concerns, please feel free to call your child's counselor, Nanette Yzaquirre, at 397-2025.

We will have our Hero's breakfast on Feb. 13 last names A-M and/or Feb. 14 N-Z from 7:15-7:45.  Your child is welcome to bring a person/s that they consider a hero any family member, friend or neighbor!
