Hello Roadrunner Families! We are at the midpoint of the 3rd nine weeks.  Progress reports will be going home on Friday, February 27th.   Our next event is March 3rd.  We will have Student Led conferences.  This is an opportunity for your child to showcase their learning! This same evening, we hope you will stop by and experience our first Art Walk, sponsored by our art teacher, Mrs. Wood.  This event will bring various artists from around the city to display and demonstrate their work.  Students will gain an appreciation, and even a curiosity, for art.

The Roadrunner Romp is just around the corner! This year's Romp is March 27th from 4:00-8:00 pm.  Our PTA is planning diligently! VOLUNTEERS are a needed in various areas to ensure it is a huge success for our students and families.   Please contact Angela Grover via email to help.   Your child's teacher will also be sending out a link to Sign Up Genius.   The next Romp Planning meeting is February 23rd at 6:00 pm. There are many opportunities for you to share your skills with us!   Mark your calendars for the following student holidays:  Spring Break, March 9th - 13th, Good Friday, April 3rd, Battle of Flowers, April 24th.  Visit the School Calendar link under the School Info tab on our home page for additional information.  Our next PTA meeting is April 14thth at 6:00 pm.  Following the meeting,  we will have our first Leader in Me Family Night.  Each grade level will provide ways in which you can learn and exhibit each of the 7 Habits of Happy Kids (based on Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People). We hope to see you there!

You may have noticed our front flower beds are starting to get spruced up! Thanks to our May Garden Club and their sponsors, Mrs. Fielding (Librarian) and Mr. Thompson (Helotes Creek Farms)!   We have various clubs on campus sponsored by wonderful teachers that give of their time.  A list is located under  School Info/clubs.  Speaking of great teachers, our campus Educator of the Year is Mrs. Melissa Lomax! Congratulations to her on this well-deserved accomplishment!
