In an effort to improve our District and campus websites and to ensure that our community finds these communication tools helpful, we are asking for input through a brief online survey.
The survey will be accessible to the community from Monday, April 23, to Friday, May 4.

Happy New Year!! I am excited to see what this year has in store for us at LSE!! It’s hard to believe that this year is half way over. We are proud to announce that this year, Leon Springs ES received 5 Distinctions: Academic Achievement in ELAR, Academic Achievement in Science, Top 25% in Student Progress, Top 25% in Performance Gaps, and Postsecondary Readiness. At LSE, we truly believe that our students are always the big picture!!! Here’s to a year full of amazing opportunities and beautiful moments!!

Boot Scoot is Saturday, February 10. There are still many opportunities to help in these weeks leading up to, as well as during, the event. We are also looking for kid-friendly donations for our Drop in the Bucket area. Please consider donating if you have new toys, etc. that kids would enjoy winning. If you are interested in helping or donating, or need more information, please contact our school office.

Meet the teacher is this coming Thursday, August 24, 2017, from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. This is where you can find your room, Join PTA, buy your meal tickets, obtain bus route information, drop off school supplies, purchase Leon Springs Spirit Shirt, and purchase your assignment notebooks (grades 3-5).

Meal pattern requirements for Pre-K in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) have changed. Most significant changes include:
- Unflavored low-fat or fat-free milk must be served to children 2-5 years old.
- Fruit and a vegetable or two different vegetables are required.
- Students will no longer have the option to choose their meal. No offer vs. serve will be available.
(Please be on the lookout for campus procedures of meal distribution.)
