EcoFriends, a volunteer group of students, families, teachers, and administrators at Carnahan ES, planted more than 70 native pecan seedling trees in the Leon Creek Greenway across the street from the school as part of the Acorn Project.

We have spirit, yes we do -- how ‘bout you? Students at Brauchle ES show their school spirit by demonstrating good character. Fourth graders in Kristin Bleamaster’s class won the spirit stick for showing respect and complimenting each other for things they have done well.

Two NISD students will be competing at the American Junior Academy of Science conference in Boston in February, 2013. The pair earned this opportunity through their first place finish at the Texas Junior Academy of Science competition held last spring.
