Teachers share teaching "super powers" in Uganda

June 8, 2015

School may be out, but teachers spend much of their summer attending various professional development seminars and workshops and preparing for the coming school year to become even better super heroes and stars in the classroom.

For two teachers from Hoffmann Elementary School, two such “super educators” are using their super powers and their love for teaching to a global level.

Beginning on June 9, Special Education teachers Isabel Valtierra (pictured left) and Kristina Riffle (pictured right) will travel to Jinja, Uganda to volunteer teach at an orphanage.
