Health Careers students help injured at race

December 20, 2012

Health Careers HS students received hands-on medical experience when they volunteered at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon this year en mass. Fifty-four students worked at the finish line helping stumbling and weak runners through the finish line corral, handing out water, and comforting sick runners. They escorted several runners to the medical tent, and assisted with treatments for heat exhaustion, muscle cramps, cuts, and bruises, working all day with no breaks.
