Warren HS Drama Finalist for FAME Awards

The Warren High School Drama Department has been accepted as a finalist for the upcoming Margaret Tobin FAME awards, hosted by the Junior League of San Antonio. One-Act Play participants Tamarah Tucker, Shelby Woolridge and Antonio Guerrero submitted a scene from this year’s One-Act Play Baby with the Bathwater by Christopher Durang. The play was directed by Cody Eoff and Miranda Gonzaba. After careful consideration, these students’ scene was narrowed down to one of the three finalists who will be competing for a $2000 grant for the Drama Department and a trophy.

The performance and award ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 5:30 pm in the Carlos Alvarez Theatre, which is the smaller theatre in the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Admission is free and all are invited to attend. A cake and punch reception will follow afterwards.

Both Tucker and Guerrero are currently seniors at Warren High School and Woolridge is a junior. All students have stayed actively involved in theatre and musical theatre during their high school years.
