NISD Visual Art Students are Winners in SAFD Poster Contest

Art students and their instructors pose with artwork and the awards that they earned.

Congratulations to Northside Art students who walked away with several awards at the SAFD Fire Safety Poster Contest! Students from around the city were invited to take part in a poster contest hosted by the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD).  The annual contest is related to 2018 annual fire prevention week. This year's theme was "Look. Listen. Learn. Be Aware. Fire can happen anywhere." Children in pre-kindergarten through high school were eligible to create posters that convey fire safety and education messages. The poster contest helps students and their families to learn about fire safety while getting a chance to win prizes donated by local businesses and organizations.
