Evers Elementary was one of two schools in Texas to receive a $2,500 technology grant from the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE) Foundation for the 2012-13 school year. Tina Briones, an ATPE Board member, presented the grant to Evers Principal Erin Carlson and grant applicant Campus Instructional Technologist Karen Dunlap. The grant provided the campus with the funds to purchase 18 eInstruction Mobi slates. This technology facilitates mobile instruction, technology integration, and student collaboration when using multiple units simultaneously.
