... because Esparza Elementary goes beyond achieving academic excellence and focuses on developing the whole child through providing a variety of enrichment classes every Wednensday from 3:15-4:15 such as:  Lego Robotics, Ballet Folklorico, Choir, Strings, ReArt, Garden Club, Chess, Soccer, Running Club, Zumba, etc.

 

...because Esparza is a a community that embraces the culture by having cultural events throughout the year to include our Noche Cultural showcasing units of study that culminate into student performances (dance, poetry readings, etc.) and research projects based on their assigned country throughout the world.

 

... because Esparza Elementary embraces our Namesake Gregorio Esparza, the only Mexican Citizen to fight alongside the Heroes of the Alamo while his brother fought on the other side in the same battle.  Students are assigned specific aspects of the life and times of Gregorio Esparza showcased for parents during Texas Public Schools' Week.

 

... because Esparza Elementary promotes a healthy lifestyle through a variety of activities and functions such as:

-our involvement with Mile Strong Kids where the students participate in a campus-wide Mud Run

-partners with our area Middle School, Sul Ross to provide a Heatlh Fair that offers free services such as Flu Shots, haircuts, blood screenings, etc.

-participates in the NEF 5K, and much more
