Nominate Your Homecoming Court
Student Council will accept nominations for our 2018 Homecoming Court until Friday, Sept. 7, 2018. Students can go to Student Council’s Twitter @Bears_StuCo or scan the QR Code to the left to open the nomination form. The theme this year is "Brennan's Gatsby Affair." The Homecoming game is Thursday, Sept. 20, and the Homecoming Dance is Saturday, Sept. 22. For more information, contact Mr. Lopez or Ms. Wood.

Students can get schedules, spirit gear, parking permits, off-campus stickers, transportation information, club awareness and much more, like meeting some amazing teachers, staff and administrators. Students need to attend on the correct dates and times. August 14: Juniors, 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and Seniors, 1 p.m.-4 p.m.; August 15: Sophomores, 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and Freshmen, 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Incoming juniors attend the summer camp, Monday, Aug. 13 to Thursday, Aug. 16,10 a.m. to 1 p.m., to help with AP classes your junior year. With four subjects offered – Environmental Science, English 3, US History, and Physics – students taking AP classes next school year can attend sessions. The first-day will build skills, and the other three days will involve specific subject content, for this program made possible through a DODEA military grant. Back-to-Back Achievement Highlighted
During a faculty end-of-year meeting, City Councilman Greg Brockhouse recognized the Spartan Bears with a proclamation signed by Mayor Ron Nirenberg and the District 6 councilman for a second-year-in-row first-place at the National JROTC High School Drill Team Championship and Fitness Challenge. “Your dedication to discipline, teamwork and leadership development is worthy of commendation,” Councilman Brockhouse stated.

With a crowded auditorium for the 2018 Bear Awards, Brennan’s Bear Community participated in honoring scores of students May 24. After the the JROTC Honor Guard posted the colors, Principal John Trimble, English Teacher Deedra Lapalio and Math Coordinator Michael Simpson awarded honor cords to students for completing the OnRamps program, which partners with the University of Texas for college credit.
