Federal Forms for Impact Aid
Impact Aid is a federal program sponsored by the Department of Education (DOE) providing funds to districts with children whose families live or work on federal property, such as military bases, or whose parents are in the uniformed services. This employment qualifies military-connected families to help contribute to the quality education in the Northside district by completing, signing and returning this form. Federal dollars represent a part of the Northside budget, and we would greatly appreciate your assistance in applying for this funding. If lost, you can download a PDF form.

Plan on Attending the Fair
Nov. 8, the Career Center will host the “College, Career & Military Fair” in the Cafeteria from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is open to ALL grade levels and their families. Parents and students can speak with representatives from 48 different institutions and have the opportunity to sit in on a 20-minute Question and Answer session with selected universities, including Texas A&M, UTSA and UT Austin. Café College representatives will also attend the Fair to answer students' burning questions regarding everything post-secondary. Get lots of great information. Students can check the Flexisched website to see their scheduled reteaching sessions, taking place every day during the first 20 minutes of a student's lunch period. This year for students to master content, administrators and the Academic Initiative Committee have instituted “Bear Time” to help students continue to achieve academic success. “College, Career and Military Night” at UTSA for Brennan is on Oct. 22, 6:50 p.m.-7:40 p.m. Students can fill out a registration form using the barcode to the left, or go to www.texascollegefairs.org for a unique barcode. They can save it on their phones for fast check-in and connecting with reps. Registering is not required but recommended. A shuttle to UTSA from Dub Farris will transport participants every 15 minutes from 5:45 p.m.-8:45 p.m. For information, see Ms. Saenz in the Career Center.
