Informational Session for Middle School Students Interested in Athletics
When: Wednesday, April 10th (6:15 - 7:30 pm)
Where: Brennan High School– Cafeteria
Who: All incoming male & female 9th grade athletes from Bernal, Briscoe and Luna Middle Schools
Objective: For athletes and parents to be informed of all the athletic camps, try - outs, expectations and requirements to assist with the transition from middle school to Brennan High School. Please bring a parent or guardian with you to prepare what you will need to do to participate in the Athletic Program at Brennan High School. Our athletic trainers will discuss the physical form & athletic paperwork requirements. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet the high school coaches of the sport(s) you are interested in trying out for or playing in the Brennan High School athletic program. IMPORTANT INFORMATION All athletes (male and female) will be expected to have a physical and all athletic paperwork on file at Brennan High School by May 24th. Brennan is having physicals offered to athletes for the price of $20, cash only on May, 4th. You will have the opportunity to register at this meeting on April 10th to be included with the physical on the date of May 4th. If you are planning to play athletics at Brennan High School it is highly recommended that you take advantage of this date for physicals. This should help insure you meet the target date of May 24th for having your physical and athletic paperwork on file with the Brennan Athletic Trainers. This will help insure that your child is ready for all try - outs, practices and Summer workouts offered at Brennan HS. Make Plans For Literacy Night
We would like to invite you to attend our annual literacy event at the Brennan library on Thursday,February 21st, 2019, from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. All of the elementary and middle school students that feed into Brennan HS will have an opportunity to experience storytelling, button making, computer stations, and game stations, all free of charge. The storytelling and all stations are entirely student-run and bring together Brennan Cheer, ROTC, Anime Club, Brennan Student Council and our Child Development Class to support the library and literacy. And, thanks to Half Price Books each family will receive one free bundle of books per child!

Brennan H.S. teachers Of The Year Announced
Special Education Teacher Ms. Dora Salazar has been named Brennan High School 2019 Teacher Of The Year! Ms. Salazar has been a teacher at Brennan for 5 years and has been in education for 17 years. We are very proud to have Ms. Salazar on our staff. Katherine Bleier has named 2019 Brennan High School New Teacher Of The Year. Ms. Bleier is one of our phenomenal science teachers. Please join us on March 6th at 6:30 pm at Brennan High School when both teachers be honored with other NISD Secondary Teachers on this wonderful achievement.

Brennan Cheer Cheer Champs Once Again!
For the third year in a row Brennan Cheer came home with a National Championship in the Large Novice Division - Best in Use of Jumps and Stunts. The National Cheer Association Championships were held in Dallas this past weekend. We are beyond excited for Brennan Cheer and very proud of their hard work. Brennan Cheer is setting standards of excellence!

Student Athletes: Physicals Offered In May
Northside ISD is providing athletic physicals for our student athletes on May 4th, 2019. This event is being supported by Methodist Healthcare System and Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio as well as August Heart. Physicals will take place at Stevens High School and the cost will be $20 cash. Any questions, please contact Trevor Carter at 210-398-1313.
