TED-Ed has a different approach to viewing videos on the Internet. It's called "flipping the classroom. Teachers can turn any video from YouTube into a lesson. They can even add quiz questions and other supplemental materials. Flipping the classroom puts the video before the lesson, so students have an idea about the lesson before it is presented. Your C.I.T. has signed up for a free account that will allow you to add YouTube and other video movies free of advertising and unwanted content. Students can logon using a teacher created password to view only the videos you have allowed them to view. Since students don't have access to YouTube at school, this is a great way for them to still view relevant videos, approved by you, the teacher! Talk to your C.I.T. about having your name added to the list of approved teachers so you can use this service. |
