On Friday, November 1st, Villarreal students and faculty participated in a powerful Red Ribbon Rally. The rally was the culminating activity after a week full of great Red Ribbon activities. School counselor, Jorge Garcia and school Principal, April Mata, were on hand to introduce our guest speakers. DEA Special Agents Armando Talamantez and Agent Chad Ripley spoke to the students about why we wear the red ribbon. They also spoke about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Students then watched a short video (http://quietube6.com/v.php/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwAYpLVyeFU) about kindness. The presentation ended by students and faculty taking a verbal oath to not use drugs or alcohol. It was a wonderful rally and we were pleased to see the students so involved. Way to go Jags!
