Everyone had a great time learning about the cool technology that goes on at Scarborough. One of the things we hope to purchase next year is our very own set of iPad Minis. QR Codes are a very powerful resource and gets the children super excited about learning and we saw so many parents scanning and scanning. Check out all the pictures from this most sucessful night! On Wednesday, April 16, Ms.Baker's fifth grade class had an awesome celebration. Their hard work was recognized, and they even got to play some fun games. Each student received a T-shirt, and the students that completed 30 or more lessons received an additional recognition and a certificate. These fabulous fifth grade students worked together as a team to complete one thousand lessons on TTM (Think Through Math)! This class is the first one at Scarborough Elementary to do this. Keep up the great work fifth graders!

-Kindergarten has started learning about Place Value! They are doing FABULOUS! They are putting manipulatives in groups of tens and seeing how many ones we have left over! Our kindergarteners are also writing the numbers in the right "place"! YAY!
-First Grade went to the Magik Theatre to see Skippyjon Jones. They had a fabulous time learning and writing about performances.
-Second Grade is working super hard on Woodland Forest Unit and Animal Projects. Make sure to come look in their hallway next week!
-Third Grade is excited to "spring" into action by continuing to learn about time and measurement, two by one multiplication, and fractions in math! In reading, we are "busy as bees" getting ready for our STAAR test! We know our strategies and are working on using them to help us as we read. We can hardly contain our "energy" in science as we learn about our local cultures and celebrations, as well as various types of energy. We are looking forward to our field trip to the Institute of Texan Cultures later this month!
