FINE ARTS

1. The Fine Arts classes last 12 weeks and include Art, Theater Arts, Family & Consumer Science, Cultures and Music.
2. These classes are rotated throughout the year during 4th and 6th periods.
3. The “Art” part of the rotation gives students the opportunity to learn about about a variety of art styles and techniques.
They will learn about the “Elements of Design” and how they are used in art. They will also get to work on projects
which may include drawing, painting, perspective, ceramics, animation, computer, etc…The student will also learn
about art history and art vocabulary. Basically we are trying to expose your child to as much art as possible in a short
period of time so that they may be interested enough to take our full-year program as a 7th or 8th grader. |
