Each year the students at Rhodes bring donations for our Giving Tree to support community projects. This year the older students brought needed school supplies, and our younger students brought in stuffed animals to support our local police sub-station's Blue Santa project. We also helped support the San Antonio Fire Department's SANTA Drive. We are very proud of our students and parents who overwhelmed us with their generosity in order to reach out to those less fortunate in our community.

National Red Ribbon Week 2013 honors the 25th anniversary of the ultimate sacrifice made by U.S. Drug Enforcement Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena. In 1988, Congress officially proclaimed the last week of October as Red Ribbon Week in honor of this brave American’s life. He made a difference by helping to fight illegal drugs. In honor of “Kiki” and to uphold the tradition of celebrating Red Ribbon Week, the following activities are planned in conjunction with the Six Pillars of Character and the Seven Habits of Happy Kids.
