Food Drive
Support our Rayburn Food Drive! Rayburn is collecting canned food items to donate to the St. Vincent De Paul Community Outreach Center. Students who wish to donate will bring canned foods to their advisory class to make the donation. The top 2 advisory classes to have the most donations will win free entrance to the winter dance, get a free slice of pizza, and a soda. The prize is worth 5$ per student in each winning advisory!
School Dance
The dance is December 12 from 4-6 pm. Arm bands to enter the dance will be sold for $3 during lunch prior to December 12. When students purchase an arm band they will need to get a parent permission slip to enter the dance. Student must have the arm band and the permission slip to enter the dance. During the dance a concession stand will sell pizza and soda's for $1 each. Other food items will be sold as well.
If you child attends the dance arrangements to pick the child up by 6:00 pm is necessary. This will help make the dance environment safe and fun for everyone.

November 08
Seventh and eighth grade students will attend the Rachel's Challenge presentation this month. Rachel's Challenge is a movement to create positive change in student interactions. The challenge was created in response to a tragedy. See Rachel's Challenge website for more details

Red Ribbon Week- Oct 27-31
Celebrate being Drug Free with Rayburn MS! This week we will show our support for living drug free with Red Ribbon events.
Monday-"Lei Off Drugs"
Tuesday- "Join the Fight Against Drugs"
Wednesday- "Raiders Against Drugs"
Thursday- "I Elect to be Drug Free"
Friday- "Team Up Against Drugs"

During the past two weeks Student's have worked to create drug free posters to advertise the drug free live style. Check back for winning entries.

October 08
October is Crime Prevention Month. To promote good citizenship and prevent crime we have several activities on campus during October to help our students. The 6th graders are attending ABC training which provides information about respecting ourselves and others. The last week of October is Red Ribbon week. During this week students will get rewards for participating in activities that demonstrate support for saying NO to drugs.

Parent Connection is now live! You can see your student's grades and help them stay caught up in school. If you have questions about grades the teacher contact information should be listed in Parent Connection. The link for parent connection is always at the botton of our home page. Instructions for account set up are linked to the parent connection site. New accounts will need to be set up for this school year.
