O'Connor Attendance Team
Texas school law states that students must be in attendance at least 90% of the time in order to receive credit for a course. If a student is in attendance less than 90% of the time, the student becomes ineligible for credit. A student may not miss more than nine (9) days for a semester course, or eighteen (18) days for a year long course. A student will not receive credit for a course if he/she exceeds the number of allowable absences, even if the absences are excused. The only exception to this policy is a “health” excuse.
