About Us

Northwest Crossing Elementary is located in the Northwest quadrant of Northside IndependentSchool District.  The school was named after the rapidly developing neighborhood in which it is
located.

The school opened in August 1982 as NISD's 25th Elementary School.  Since that time our school has undergone several exciting changes including a new 13 room addition which was completed
in 2004.  This addition houses our Pre-Kinder students, Kinder students,  AMC students, PPCD students, and our Art Room and Computer Labs.

Community groups use our school building for various activities: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Homeowners' Meetings; a variety of baseball and soccer teams; and YMCA Prime Time, an after-school daycare program. Our school has also been used in the summer for a variety of enrichment programs, a reading and math tutorial program.
