NISD student receives Northside Citizenship Award

Julio Maldonado, a ninth grade student at Health Careers High School, successfully performed the Heimlich maneuver on a fellow ninth grade student who was choking on a piece of hamburger in the cafeteria during lunch. His quick action and selflessness saved the life of this young student.
