Board adopts budget with no increase in tax rate for 4th year in a row

September 3, 2014

Northside ISD trustees approved an all-funds budget of $1.22 billion for the 2014-2015 school year, and they also approved a zero-increase tax rate to support the budget.

Trustees voted to keep the tax rate  at $1.3755 per one hundred dollar valuation. Northside ISD has not raised the school tax rate for the past four years.

The adopted tax rate is also less than the tax rate that was projected in School Bond 2010 by $0.1016 which translates to an annual savings of over $160 for the average value home in Northside.

Trustees also  accepted and approved the Certified Appraisal Value of NISD property prepared by the appraisal boards of Bexar, Medina and Bandera counties totaling $35,693,613,778.
