February 25, 2014

Kent Page, a science teacher at Carnahan ES, is one of 102 teachers throughout the country to receive the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). He will receive $10,000 and an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. to attend several recognition events. The award, first given in 1983, is considered the highest recognition in the United States that a K-12 mathematics or science teacher can receive for exemplary teaching. By the way, Page donated his $10,000 award to his school in a surprise presentation to his principal Lisa Turner.
