NISD seeks input on instructional materials

NISD is seeking public input regarding the selection of instructional materials (textbooks, etc.) being considered for use during the 2014-15 school year.

The public is invited to inspect and review the materials up for adoption at the Northside Board Room located at 5900 Evers Road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, followed by an open forum from 5-6:30 p.m.

The subject areas up for adoption this year include: Science, grades K–8, Science (Spanish), grades K–5, Aquatic Science, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Environmental Systems, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Physics, Principles of Technology, Scientific Research and Design, Anatomy and Physiology, Engineering Design and Problem Solving, Medical Microbiology, Pathophysiology , Advanced Animal Science, Advanced Biotechnology, Advanced Plant and Soil Science, Food Science, Forensic Science, Mathematics, grades K–8, Mathematics (Spanish), grades K–5, Technology Applications, grades K–8 , Fundamentals of Computer Science, Computer Science I, Computer Science II , Computer Science III , Digital Forensics, Discrete Mathematics, Game Programming and Design, Mobile Application Development, Robotics Programming and Design, Digital Design and Media Production, Digital Art and Animation, 3-D Modeling and Animation, and Digital Communications in the 21st Century.
