Toyota Texas donates truck to high school program

October 18, 2013

Toyota Texas celebrated its tenth anniversary in San Antonio by donating 10 trucks to school districts, non-profits, and other institutions, including one to Northside ISD.

Superintendent Dr. Brian T. Woods accepted the oversized keys at the Toyota Plant Thursday, Oct. 17.

“This was definitely a surprise,” Woods said. “We are so grateful to Toyota for this generous donation, and we congratulate them for their ten years as a partner in the San Antonio community.”

The donated truck will be used by high school students in the Career and Technology Education program. It will provide hands-on learning experiences with a vehicle equipped with the latest technology.

This is not the first time Northside has received a donated truck from Toyota Texas. Back in November 2011, Stevens High School automotive students happily accepted the keys to a new Tundra.
