Students from three NISD high schools participated in the High School Student Leadership Development Seminar in partnership with the National Park Service (NPS) at Mission San Jose. Hosted by the National Organization for Mexican American Rights (NOMAR), the purpose of the seminar was to inform students of different careers in the Federal government, such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S Geological Survey.
Besides receiving a lot of information and gifts, two students from each school received a $150 scholarship each.
