Several upcoming golf tournaments will benefit Northside students. Here’s more information on how to be a part of the fundraising efforts.

Order on the Course!
The third annual “Order on the Course” Golf Tournament sponsored by the Andy Mireles Charitable Foundation will be held on Saturday, June 1 at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort. Some of the proceeds will benefit the students at Judge Andy Mireles Elementary School. The Foundation has donated more than $13,500 to the school since 2011. For more information or to sign up, go to www.andymireles.org.

Thomas L. Hatchett Golf Tournament
The Jay High School Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring its ninth annual Thomas L. Hatchett Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 8 at the Cedar Creek Golf Course.  Proceeds from the tournament go toward the Robert Johns Scholarship and also provide financial assistance for all athletic and spirit teams throughout the school year. The tournament is named after former board member and school namesake, Thomas L. Hatchett Sr. who died in 2003.

For more information on how to participate, contact Mark Acuna, Jay High School Athletic Booster President at mark.acuna@nisd.net or call 397-2700, ext. 2845.

William Ludwikowski Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament
This year marks the 16th annual William Ludwikowski Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament. It begins at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 13 at the Silverhorn Golf Club.  A pre-event social and putting contest will start at 7 p.m., Friday, July 12, also at Silverhorn.

The golf tournament is the only fundraiser for the group which raises money to provide scholarships for students at Holmes and Business Careers high schools. The scholarship is named after 1977 Holmes graduate William Ludwikowski who died of cancer shortly after receiving his high school diploma. His fellow classmates created the scholarship in his honor and to date they have awarded over $120,000 in scholarships. Last week, they awarded four $5,000 scholarships to Holmes and Business Careers seniors. Each student also received a laptop computer.
