Northside ISD is looking for names for new schools. The District now is accepting nominations from members of the community for three elementary schools and a middle school opening in 2009.

The deadline to submit a nomination is Jan. 11. Only nominations submitted on the official nomination form will be considered. All questions must be answered. Final selection of school names will be made by the Board of Trustees April 22.

For more details about the nomination process or to submit a nomination online, visit the NISD Name A School web site.

Board members will consider naming elementary schools after the area or subdivision in which they are located or after individuals who have made significant contributions to education in Northside or the community.

Middle schools can be named after prominent state leaders who have made significant contributions to education.

The four schools to be named include:
· "Kyle Seale Parkway area" Middle School, 14900 Kyle Seale Parkway
· "Alamo Ranch area" Elementary School, 12118 Volunteer Parkway
· "Leslie Road area" Elementary School, 12303 Leslie Road
· "Stevens Ranch #1 area" Elementary School, 600 Stevens Ranch Parkway

All four schools are funded by School Bond 2007.
