The ballot is set for the May 14 Board of Trustees election.

In District 1, the candidates are:

• George Lynn Britton, Jr., a retired teacher and incumbent Trustee
• Rolando Garcia, a special education coordinator

Bennie Cole, a retired civil servant, was the only candidate to file for the District 2 seat. Incumbent Trustee Annie Holmes is not running for re-election.

Incumbent District 3 Trustee M'Lissa Chumbley and District 4 Trustee Bobby Blount are running unopposed.

The elections for Districts 2, 3, and 4 will be canceled because only one candidate has filed.
