VASE competition allows academically eligible high school students an opportunity to present and defend their original artwork one-on-one with a certified art juror in order to qualify for state. This year 19 pieces advanced to state and 14 received 1st place state medals. The Gold Seal Award is given to the top artwork selected from all the 1st place medal winners across the state of Texas; Northside ISD captured 2 of these Gold Seals.
