Northside ISD is seeking public input on textbooks being considered for use for the 2011-12 school year. 

Community members are invited to a Textbook Open Forum on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at the Northside Activity Center, 7001 Culebra Road. Proposed textbooks will be available for review from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and an open forum for comments is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Subject areas that have textbooks up for adoption this year include: 

• Pre-kindergarten systems
• Handwriting (grades 1-3)
• Spelling (grades 1-6)
• English Language Arts (grades 2-8)
• Spanish Language Arts (grades 2-6)
• English as a Second Language (grades K-8)
• Speech (grades 6-8)
• English (levels I-IV)
