December 20, 2010
Northside ISD is among the top 18 school districts in the nation when it comes to closing the achievement gap for African-American, Hispanic, and low-income students, according to a report just released by the Broad Foundation.
The report is posted on the Broad Foundation’s website. Northside ISD is the only school district in Texas to be recognized for raising the achievement levels in all three student populations.
Northside ISD was a finalist for the prestigious Broad Prize – considered the Nobel Prize of education – in 2007.
