The Northside ISD Board of Trustees is seeking nominations for the name of a new elementary school scheduled to open in 2012.
School namesake nominations needed

The nomination deadline for the school, now referred to as "Bandera Road North area" Elementary School, is Jan. 14, 2011.
According to Board policy, elementary schools can be named after the area or subdivision in which they are located or after individuals who have made significant contributions to the educational program of the District or the community.

School name nominations submitted to the Board of Trustees will remain on file for one year from the date of receipt.
Previously, nominations remained on file permanently, but the Board recently instituted the one-year time frame to streamline the nominating process and to make sure submissions are kept up-to-date.
