Since 1996, schools, publishers, booksellers, writers, and poets have been celebrating the vital place of poetry in American culture. April is National Poetry Month and the students at NAHS celebrated by experimenting with different poetry genres. Students joined together across grade-levels and participated in workshops focusing on acrostic poems, diamante poetry, freestyle poetry, and found poetry. From these workshops, completed poems were judged for submission possibilities for NISD’s May Day Celebration.
Warren High School will host a “Student Aid San Antonio” Saturday event this Saturday, March 22, to help students and parents apply for college financial aid.
