Bio/Principal of Mireles ES
Patricia (Patti) Sanchez will serve as the first principal of Judge Andy Mireles Elementary School.
Sanchez joined Northside ISD in 1991 as a first grade teacher at Passmore Elementary School, and moved to Howsman Elementary in 1995 as a reading specialist. She then went to work as an educational specialist at the Region 20 Education Service Center in San Antonio, before returning to the district as the vice principal at Oak Hills Terrace Elementary. She also was the vice principal at Thornton Elementary School before becoming principal at Passmore Elementary in 2006. She received a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University, and a master’s degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Talia Hernandez will serve as the vice-principal of Judge Andy Mireles Elementary School.
Hernandez joined Northside ISD in 2008 as a first grade bilingual teacher at Forester Elementary School. She moved to Passmore Elementary and Cable Elementary in 2009 as a school counselor. She then helped open Judge Andy Mireles Elementary as a school counselor in 2011. Before joining Northside ISD, Hernandez served as a second and third grade bilingual teacher at Harlandale ISD and also served as a program advisor for the Outreach Programs at The University of Texas at San Antonio partnered with Northside ISD and John Jay High School. She received a B.B.A. in Management and a M.A. in Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio and she also received an M.A. in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
